Open Plan Sitting Room
As you enter the front door you arrive into our open plan sitting room with its massive front window giving expansive views across Trengothal Farm’s fields and down the Penberth valley.
The sitting room has a large, flat screen Smart TV and there is a bookshelf with a selection of books and a basket full of jigsaw puzzles and games to play.
Though, in reality, you might just content yourself with watching the cows saunter past the window at milking time, the swallows chattering on the telegraph line, our resident barn owl quarter the fields at dusk or the bats swoop past the window catching insects on the wing.
There is a large sofa and two arm chairs with plenty of pillows as well as a huge bean bag to relax in to.
Finally, there is a modern, wood burning stove to snuggle up in front of and we provide kiln dried logs and kindling in the colder months and will set the fire for you if you are not used to wood burners.
Kitchen
The fitted, Shaker-style kitchen has all you need. An integrated fridge and freezer unit, induction hob, eye-level double electric oven and grill, microwave, kettle, dishwasher and washing machine.
There is plenty of room for your provisions and we have pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses, a china tea set for your cream teas and wine glasses!
You can even have fresh milk delivered to your door from the farm’s enterprise ” Whistle Hill Beef & Dairy! And nearby in Penzance you can visit Polgoon Vineyard, have a tour and tasting session and then choose your wine to bring home for a sundowner on the patio or a BBQ.
The open plan area has a modern, fully integrated smoke, CO2 and fire detector system.
Master Bedroom
Our spacious Master bedroom has two 3′ divan beds that can be joined to form an extremely comfortable superking-sized bed.
The luxurious toppers we use add to your comfort along with the bedlinen and towelling from our local supplier, Mounts Bay Laundry. There are bedside tables and lamps and hanging space.
Both bedrooms have window doors onto the courtyard, black-out curtains (not that there are any street lights here!) and net curtains.
Second Bedroom
Slightly smaller than our Master bedroom, this room also has two single divan beds that can also be joined to make another extremely comfortable superking-sized bed. This room has a full-size mirror, bedside table and lamp, wardrobe and drawer space.
Bathroom
Whenever I go away, I keep my fingers crossed for a decent shower!
No need to worry, at Trengothal Barn we have a spacious, walk-in, mains pressure shower!
Hurray!!!
The lighted mirror has a connection point for your toothbrush or shaver and the heated towel rail will keep your towels (provided by us of course) nice and warm!
We also provide a hair dryer along with the usual hand soap and toilet roll.
A Visual Tour of the barn
Here is a quick walk around the barn, starting from the courtyard entrance. You enter the front door into the open plan sitting area with its wonderful window giving views across the Trengothal Farm fields down the Penberth Valley. Turn right into the well-equipped kitchen and dining area. Then along the corridor passing the bathroom and second bedroom. Up a small step and into the master bedroom.
